I recently read Cloud and Townsend's Boundaries with Kids for my Continuing Education units. Even though I am well past the child-rearing days, my daughters are 33 and 30, it was a very good read!
As a result of reading, I was able to gain insights into how I was parented and into my own parenting as well. I realized so many ways in which I fell short and yet, I can still trust God to cover and restore where I was lacking.
It's never to late to learn and grow--and to apologize to my kids for my mistakes. The great news now is that I can pass along something better to the next generation! And now that I'm a new Nana, I get the chance to love better this time around...
